About the Program
The Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP) at Community Hands of Hope is a state-certified, court-approved program that addresses the root causes of domestic violence through structured group sessions, personal accountability, and evidence-based curriculum.
Our program uses gender-specific curricula — the Duluth Model for male participants and the Turning Points Curriculum for female participants — ensuring that each individual receives programming tailored to their experience and needs.
Evidence-Based Curriculum
For Male Participants
The Duluth Model is one of the most widely used frameworks for batterer intervention. It focuses on understanding power and control dynamics, taking responsibility for abusive behavior, and developing respectful, non-violent relationship skills.
For Female Participants
The Turning Points Curriculum is designed specifically for women, addressing the unique experiences and contexts of female participants. It focuses on safety planning, healthy relationship skills, and personal empowerment.
Whether you've been referred by the court or are seeking help on your own, we're here to support you through the process — without judgment.
